Embedding Your Live Stream

With the Church Online Platform, you can embed your live stream directly into your service.

To do this, you’ll need a streaming provider that can generate an iframe embed code. Simply send your video to the provider, copy the embed code they provide, and paste it into the video section of your service on the platform.

Not sure if your provider offers iframe embed codes? Reach out to them directly—if they do, it should work seamlessly with the platform.

Embed Your Live Stream

  1. Log in to the Admin.
  2. Navigate to Services.
  3. Either create a new service or click Edit Content on an existing Service.
  4. Under the Video section, select Embed Code.
  5. Paste the embed code from your streaming provider into the text box.
  6. (Optional) Set how many minutes before the service you want the video to start.
  7. Click Save.
If you're using Vimeo, some embed links need to be in a specific format to work properly on the Church Online Platform.

For example:
https://vimeo.com/123456789/0qa0100a0b – works in a browser, but not on the platform
https://vimeo.com/123456789?h=0qa0100a0b – works on the Church Online Platform

What’s the difference? The platform requires the ?h= format, not the / format, especially for Unlisted videos.
Tip: If you make your video Public on Vimeo, the first URL format will work in both the browser and on the platform.
